Crafting Character from Local Roots
For over 40 years, we've transformed locally sourced hardwoods into custom cabinetry, furniture, and millwork—combining traditional craftsmanship, sustainable practices, and a commitment to exceptional quality.
Mountain Falls Millwork is a locally owned family business. The owner, Randy Rickard, is originally from the Shenandoah Valley and has been crafting furnishings and unique custom building projects since 1983. He started the business with his wife, Harriet, in 1994.
In addition to our local roots, what sets Mountain Falls apart is that we source as much as possible from our region. We acquire lumber from community sawmills and logs from nearby urban tree removals or neighboring farms, which keeps this useful commodity out of the landfill and prevents it from being cut up for firewood. Each tree offers a unique opportunity to create a custom project, even sourcing a tree or wood from someone’s property. Our millwork expertise highlights the unique grains and textures that many other companies are not able to harvest and use.
